Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage server instances within the AWS environment.
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.
- Configure and maintain server security, including access controls, firewall rules, and encryption.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement scalable and fault-tolerant server architectures.
- Automate server provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for server infrastructure.
- Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless integration between server infrastructure and network components.
- Stay up-to-date with AWS services, features, and best practices to propose and implement innovative solutions.
- Conduct performance testing and tuning to optimize server performance and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Document server configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an AWS Engineer or similar role with a focus on server management.
- Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its core services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with Linux/Unix server administration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of server monitoring and log analysis tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Datadog).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex server-related issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
