TIME TO PLAN YOUR STAFFING NEEDS BEFORE TAX SEASON

There are so many good reasons to take advantage of hiring staff from staffing agencies like Entigrity, no matter your industry, but tax season can be an especially good time to consider hiring some short-term staff, which you can also consider extending for longer term.

In order to make it to the 4/15 deadlines a CPA, EA or Tax professional usually puts in 60 to 70 hours every week through the months of March & April. Many start even earlier during the last couple of weeks of February and some might even work on weekends. Such is the sporadic nature of workflow in our accounting and tax industry, it’s imperative to have adequate capacity in place before the season.

The next couple of months are synonymous to the quiet before the storm. We all know the major league of tax season will commence from January until April 15 deadline. To make the most out of it, you must put your plans in motion for hiring required staff between September to December.

As hiring isn’t like purchasing groceries, it takes time to screen hundreds of resumes, then schedule dozens of interviews and then the new hire joins your firm. Yet, hiring a full time staff might be tricky due to the seasonality factor.
