TIME TO PLAN YOUR STAFFING NEEDS BEFORE TAX SEASON

There are so many good reasons to take advantage of hiring staff from staffing agencies like Entigrity, no matter your industry, but tax season can be an especially good time to consider hiring some short-term staff, which you can also consider extending for longer term.

In order to make it to the 4/15 deadlines a CPA, EA or Tax professional usually puts in 60 to 70 hours every week through the months of March & April. Many start even earlier during the last couple of weeks of February and some might even work on weekends. Such is the sporadic nature of workflow in our accounting and tax industry, it’s imperative to have adequate capacity in place before the season.

The next couple of months are synonymous to the quiet before the storm. We all know the major league of tax season will commence from January until April 15 deadline. To make the most out of it, you must put your plans in motion for hiring required staff between September to December.

As hiring isn’t like purchasing groceries, it takes time to screen hundreds of resumes, then schedule dozens of interviews and then the new hire joins your firm. Yet, hiring a full time staff might be tricky due to the seasonality factor.

There are so many good reasons to take advantage of hiring staff from staffing agencies like Entigrity, no matter your industry, but tax season can be an especially good time to consider hiring some short-term staff, which you can also consider extending for longer term.

Not just for tax preparers: Unless you already have a dedicated accounting staff in place to handle all of the tasks involved in tax preparation, you’ll likely find yourself or other key employees being pressed this time of year with completing lengthy tax season “to do” lists. The spreadsheets! The mountains of paper! The bank statements! The receipts!

Temp employees are a win-win: Not only does this mean your key, trusted office employees can put their undivided attention on tax prep, but hiring temps means you aren’t committing to long-term employees that will expect a long catalog of benefits. Not to mention, you already know the wages earned by any temps you hire would go towards your business expenses. So there’s another tax write-off!

Also, the same staff can be given an extension for long term if he stays consistent and performs as expected during the season. He/she can go ahead being an integral part of the team.

Out of our 500+ clients, 70% are sole practitioners or small accounting firms upto 15 employees while the rest of them are mid-size & regional accounting firms. We have flexible hiring options of 10 | 20 | 30 | 40 hours/week as well as seasonal options in which you can ramp up the working hours of your dedicated staff upto 40 hours/week during season and as low as 10 hours/week out of the season. Moreover, if you need staff only for the tax season we have temporary hiring options to help with that.

It may seem like a vicious cycle, but remember, the more you prepare now, the less headaches and gray hairs you'll accumulate come April.

Entigrity™ is the preferred offshore staffing partner of 500+ CPAs, EAs, Accounting firms, and tax professionals providing staff for all the positions in the accounting industry including bookkeeper, accountant, tax preparer, tax senior, senior accountant, etc. starting at $9/hour.
