We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst Manager with a strong background in the financial industry to lead our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive skill set including expertise in Power BI, SQL, TSQL, ETL processes, and Python programming. The role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage and analyze complex financial data to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success in delivering high-quality analytics solutions.
  2. Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical techniques to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various sources within the financial industry, including but not limited to market data, trading data, and customer transaction data.
  3. Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key financial metrics and trends for stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  4. SQL/TSQL Expertise: Write complex SQL and TSQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from relational databases efficiently. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
  5. ETL Processes: Develop and maintain robust ETL processes to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks. Ensure data accuracy and consistency throughout the ETL pipeline.
  6. Python Programming: Leverage Python programming skills to perform data analysis, develop predictive models, and automate repetitive tasks. Experience with data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn is highly desirable.
  7. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making, risk management, and performance evaluation. Interpret financial data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including finance, risk management, and IT to understand business requirements and deliver insights that drive business growth and profitability.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and the financial industry. Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation to enhance the effectiveness of data analysis initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience 5 years in a data analytics role within the financial industry.
  3. Strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, TSQL, and ETL processes.
  4. Advanced programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Experience with financial modeling, risk analysis, and regulatory reporting is a plus.
  8. Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is preferred.
