International Women's Day is a worldwide celebration of women's societal, literary, and political accomplishments. It was first observed on February 28th, 1909, however on March 8th, 1910, it was officially announced to be the day. It's no longer about a nation, a group, or an organization; it's about womanhood.
Women and girls all over the world have made significant strides in the last year. Women have taken lead roles in recent years, from Malala Yousafzai winning the Nobel Peace Prize to Emma Watson's viral #heforshe campaign.
“Speaking of accounting, in 1977 28% of women graduated with an accounting degree, while in 2011, that number raised up to 53% of graduating accountants being female and is expected to increase 13% by 2022.
